Qaisara Scholarship For Student Leadership

The Qaisara Scholarship for Student Leadership is a scholarship awarded to deserving CCSS student leaders who have demonstrated leadership competencies, performed well academically, have consistently good co-curricular records and display the school’s iCAR²E values.  The scholarship is funded by Mr Abdul Rahim and Mdm Suraya, parents of late Qaisara Binte Abdul Rahim who was an outstanding student leader.

Eligibility Criteria for the Qaisara Scholarship For Student Leadership 

Any Secondary 2 or 3 CCSS student leader who fulfils the criteria and is selected by the Interview Panel. Criteria stated are for the year of application.


1) Excellent academic results 

2) Consistently good co-curricular activities records

3) Exhibit Leadership Qualities

4) Good display of iCAR²E values


Online Leadership Journal 

Applicants are required to journal their practices of leadership behaviours and attach documentation (soft copies) of their own leadership achievements eg. certificates, training reflections in an Online Leadership Journal.

Quota

2 scholarships will be awarded to one Secondary 2 student leader and one Secondary 3 student leader.  The scholarships will be presented in the following academic year during Speech Day, 


Benefits

Each scholarship award is valued at $300 each.


Application and Selection Process

Application forms can be obtained from the Changkat Changi Secondary School General Office on weekdays from 8.00am to 5.00pm.  All application forms must be submitted to the General Office no later than end of June of the academic year.


Please note that short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview.


Award is subject to continued good performance of the candidate in the school, whether in academic examinations or in conduct.
